How many hashtags should I use?
On Instagram, 3 to 10 relevant hashtags usually work better than the full 30. On TikTok, 3 to 5 is enough. On X and LinkedIn, use 1 to 3. Pick the tags that match the post, not the biggest ones.

What do broad, mid and niche mean?
Broad tags get 500 or more posts a day on X, mid tags get 20 to 499, and niche tags get fewer than 20. Mix all three so a post can be found without getting lost.
Are the counts for Instagram and TikTok too?
The counts come from X, where every public post can be counted. A tag that is busy on X is usually busy on Instagram and TikTok too, so use the counts as a guide to how popular a tag is overall.
