## Start with the agents built into Sift.

Every Sift workspace comes with agents that work your social inbox. Give them goals and guidance, then choose what they can do on their own.

### Classify

Save answers in fields on conversations and customers. Use them in filters and reports.

### Respond

Draft replies from your knowledge base and brand voice. Send automatically only where you allow it.

### Investigate

Find patterns, compare trends, and build dashboards with SiftGPT.

### Report

Schedule agents to prepare a daily briefing or a weekly report.

## Give your agents a question.

SiftGPT researches and builds with your team. Other agents fill fields, work toward goals, and prepare scheduled reports.

### Search conversations

Find the messages and reviews behind a question.

“Show me customers waiting on a refund.”

### Analyze trends

Compare trends and follow an answer to its source conversations.

“What changed in booking conversations this week?”

### Build dashboards

Turn a question into an editable dashboard with charts.

“Build a dashboard for our booking experience.”

### Use your knowledge

Find answers in your team's product information and policies.

### Prepare briefings

Schedule an agent to report on the topics your team follows.

“Send me a morning briefing on booking issues.”

### Look up creators

Get current public profile details for a creator.

### Work with tables

Create and edit tables on a workspace page.

### Fill agent fields

Save an answer on each conversation or customer.

“What is the reason for this conversation?”

### Research the web

Find current public information alongside your analysis.

“What has changed in travel this month?”

## Then use them from your own AI.

Sift’s MCP server gives Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, and other assistants the same data and actions your team uses in Sift, within your permissions.

Ask about conversations, topics, and trends

Prepare replies a person confirms in Sift

Update saved searches and dashboards

## Connect the AI you already use.

One server works across assistants, coding tools, and your own agents. Sign in as yourself, or use an organization API key for unattended work.

[See setup for each client](https://docs.getsift.ai/docs/developer/mcp-connections)

**Claude** Add Sift as a custom connector.

**ChatGPT** Add Sift as a connector on supported plans.

**Codex** Add the Sift MCP server to Codex.

**Cursor** Add the Sift MCP server to Cursor.

**Gemini CLI** Add the Sift MCP server to Gemini CLI.

**Your own agent** Any client that supports remote MCP, or an API key.

### Your permissions still apply.

Admins choose who can use agents and who can send through them, per role and per person.

### A person sends the reply.

Replies prepared through MCP wait for someone to confirm them. API keys cannot send.

### Every call is recorded.

Each tool call is logged, so your team can see what an assistant read and changed.

## For developers and their agents.

## Questions about agents?

### Which AI tools work with Sift?

Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, and other clients that support remote MCP servers. What a client can do depends on its plan and settings. Your own agents can connect the same way.

### What is the difference between Sift's agents and my own AI?

Sift's agents run inside Sift and work your inbox, replies, and reports on their own. Your AI assistant connects to the same data and actions when you ask it to, from the tool you already use.

### Can an assistant send a reply without a person?

No. Replies prepared through MCP need a person to confirm them before they are sent, and API keys cannot send. Automatic sending is a separate setting for Sift's own agents.

### How does my team control access?

Admins decide who can use agents and who can send through them, per role and per person. Every operation checks the caller's permissions, and every tool call is recorded.

### Can one connection work across several organizations?

Yes, with personal sign-in. Choose All organizations when you connect. Each call runs in one organization and checks your access there. An organization API key is limited to its organization.

### How do I connect?

Add https://mcp.getsift.ai/mcp as a remote MCP server in your client and sign in with your Sift account. The connection guide has steps for each client.
